    Worked on my lawn for 3 months and it looks worse than when they began

    Here's a letter sent to homeowner yesterday. Hello Homeowner, Last week I was out to look at your lawn. I apologize for the condition of your lawn, but we feel we did what Canter's was hired to do and therefore we will not reimburse you any money. Your original hydroseed was done on 5/11/22. You called three weeks later stating there was no growth. We came back on 6/3/22 and hydroseeded the lawn again, for free. You then call a week later stating you were concerned there was still no growth. We came out, looked, and spoke to you and said we would come out and aerate lawn and overseed and then hydroseed the lawn. On 6/15/22 we aerated and overseed the lawn and then the very next day 6/16/22 we hydro seeded the lawn a third time. Besides the original hydroseed, the aeration, overseed and the other two times we hydroseeded were free of charge. We feel the lawn failed to come in due to homeowner 's lack of proper watering. We have hydroseeded many lawns this summer, including a full lawn install in Geneva the same day as your 1st seeding(that never got a 2nd seeding and is thick and beautiful)and when the lawn was properly watered or the homeowner used Canter's watering service the lawn came in with no issues, including lawns hydroseeded in July. You were offered the water service and you stated that the lawn is so small you would water the lawn yourself. Every time we were on your lawn, we never saw any sprinklers set up to water the hydro seed every day, which is what a newly hydroseeded lawn needs. A simple spray from a garden hose is not sufficient. Like stated above, we feel we have gone above and beyond. You are more than welcome to report to the BBB, but I feel I should tell you that every time our employees are on a job, they are required to take pictures on the software program that we use on their mobile device. We have pictures of all three times the lawn was hydroseeded, aerated and seeded, and in those pictures, there are no sprinklers set up or off to the side, nor the 2 times the owner or 2 times I came by to look. I apologize if you feel this is your only option. We will offer a free fall aeration and overseed in late September as a last effort for you to have a lawn before winter. Regards,
